Root CM7 Test

I am running Phiremod 6.3 and since yesterday I keep geeting an alert that CM7 Test ROM is available for download. I have tried about 10 times to download it but keep getting an error after about 20% complete. Anyone else having probs?
 
No, I downloaded it successfully. For the record, it's Phiremod version 7, not CM7.

What sort of error are you getting?

Is your SD or storage full?
 
I got it downloaded. Also I do not have the market.

my alert called it CM7 and it boots with the cyanogenmod logo
 
After you load the v7 test, you have to then load the GAPPS ROM. After that, you'll have your Market back.

Phiremod is a tweaked version of CM7.
 
Rom manager is giving you that alert.

I think Google Apps (Market) needs to be flashed after the rom, just like CM7.
 
Inside ROM Manager, just click Download ROMS, then Phiremod. One choice will be the v7 Test, another will be the GAPPS. Do v7, then do the GAPPS.
 
Thanks Guys (especially Rick). Everything is up and running great. I am finally ezperiencing the power of this tablet.

I overclocked it to 925 by using the internal settings. I would like to move it up in the 1100 range but don't know how. Any suggestions?
 
Sorry, BW, I haven't flashed anything newer than 6.3.

You'd want want the CM7 emmc version, assuming it's installing internally (not on the sd card).

Then you open NC app, set your max and go into settings... PM settings... performance... cpu settings and change the governor and max speed. My understanding is conservative is best.

I'm betting (hoping?) there'll be a new kernel this week or so. :D

BTW, don't install nightly #106 (and maybe #105) or you'll lose root.

OTOH, there's usb mouse support now and one cause of SOD (sleep of death) is fixed so #107 might be one to watch. :D
 
CPU is slightly confusing now, with Phiremod 7 and OC Kernel 6/13. There are CPU settings both in the Nook Tweaks app and in the Phiremod settings. I'm not sure if only one or both need set.
 
Set your max in Tweaks, then turn it on in Phiremod settings.

If you consider you set your entire range (lowest to highest and in-between) in Tweaks, then set min in max in settings, it makes more sense. :D
