Root CM7... user guide?

I recently bought a DHD rooted to CM7. I previously had a stock standard Desire.
I have tried to follow the DHD user guide, but half of what they mention doesnt seem to apply to the rooted version!
I REALLY want to give this a chance before trying to set back to stock factory settings...but I dont know what it is capable of as I cant find instructions!
HELP!!

I am trying to find out the capabilities of it... also having issues trying to sync it to anything, even a gmail account doesnt seem to be working, hence wanting a user guide so I can read thru and know what its capable of, how to use it completely and how to personalize it for me

It's pretty difficult to explain everything you can do with your phone, or everything you can do to customise it. With however many thousands of apps, you have a lot of things you could potentially do. Having a rooted phone only increases your options too.

But individual problems we can help you with. Did the person who sold you the phone do a factory reset? That seems to be the only surefire way to switch gmail accounts on a phone without it screwing up.

Also, if you go to Settings >> Accounts and Sync, you should see your gmail account listed there. If you click on it, it will show you what is or isn't set up to sync to the phone. It will also tell you if there's any problem with it's connection to google's servers.
