Root cm7 with fe16

I've been on cm7 for sometime now. But now that i moved I get crap for service. So I'm wanting too update my baseband too see if it gets better. So my question is can I flash the fe16 with Odin on cm7 or should I just go with ctmod?

I have had no ill effects from that baseband on cm7 or MIUI based roms. I got better signals with that one than I did with the new ff19, but no bad effects from any of them.

all areas are different for signal. some work good in one place and bad in another.
