Root CM9 development progression?

With the recent breakthrough for the camera, Is it possible that more CM9 roms will appear? Or tbat old CM9 roms be updated? The only reason I ask is that the current MTDEV cm9 rom seems to be lacking MANY features, especially some that appear in CM7. The customization aspect is the only thing that still has me leaning towards CM7, with the lockscreen customization, custom toggles in statusbar, and all the other goodies. MTDEV CM9 is great, don't get me wrong, but I would like to see more features.

Its possible that some may come up after the camera is fixed completely. We have paranoid android and liquid triumph which are both ics and fully customizable. If they get updated after the camera is finished you will have those.

CM9 is open sourced. Anybody that knows how to port via the code can grab what works on the MTDEV CM9 and bring it over. The main issue is time. A few months ago g60 and chairshot had a bunch of time to devote to the code. Since g60 got an Evo V and a new job he hasn't had the time or desire to work too much on the MTDEV projects, thus my name going on the CM9 thread. Chairshot got an Evo too and has followed g60 with DEVing for it.

When I told g60 that I would help with DEVing I had just come out of a period where I was sitting aroud some of the day and had more time at home after work. That has gone away (it's a good thing on my end).

I'm so glad that adamto has kindly given his support. Without it we would be stuck waiting for someone to either rescue us or one of us (MikeRL, BSidz, or myself) to figure out how to code.
