CM9 kernel

Are their different kernels I can use with cm9? The only kernel I have used is the stock cm9 kernel the ROM comes with. For cm10.1 there is lightning zap for example. Are there custom kernels for cm9?

All I'm seeing in that thread is a bunch of ICS kernels but I'm not sure which ones I can use. Are any of those kernels custom and what do they offer?

You will have to do some reading. If you notice in the post that they are grouped into sections including a CM9 section. Also, check the developer threads that are posted there too. If you are looking for the latest and greatest thing for CM9, you may be on it already. Most of the new development has been in the CM10.1 area since ICS is not exactly new.

Ok. Yeah I've taken a step back from CM10.1 because in my opinion it still has a long way to go working out the bugs. The cm9 ROM I've been using is completely stable and smooth. Loving it.

Not for me. As they say everyone's phone is different. The speakerphone problem among a few others frustrate me sooooo much. I even went back to TW ROMs for awhile. I'm going to wait until dastin gets the jellybean modem as well as a few other things worked out ( like speakerphone, etc.) before I come back to CM10.1 :)
