Hi guys. successfully rooted my phone. i know have CM9 (thanks to rom manager for making it super easy)

anyways. couple of questions.

1.) is it possible to change icons of the apps while in cm9? if so, how?

2.) before getting cm9, i used titanium backup to.. back up my stuff. then when i downloaded cm9, titanium back up vanished. how can i get my backup? (no worries, i backed up using the... whats it called.. clockwork recovery thing.)

many thanks. :)

Icons can be changed with a third party launcher app such as apex or nova launcher and several others. CM9 is not a finished article and the theme engine is soon to be merged into the latest builds, so for built-in functionality you'll have to wait until that happens and for themes to be done.
Titanium backup and clockworkmod backup, known as nandroid, are different things. TB backs up apps and settings and those are restored from within your current rom to bring back what you had before. Nandroid is a complete snapshot of your system at the time you made it, a system image if you like. You restore a nandroid backup from cwm recovery.
When you installed cm9 if you wiped prior to installation then everything should be gone so you'll have to add a few items from google store to get you started, such as downloading titanium backup and then restoring your apps and settings from it. You should have also flashed a package called gapps (google apps) when you installed CM9 which would allow you to setup your google account.
What steps did you follow to arrive at your current point?

thanks for your reply. :)

after rooting my phone, i backed up my apps using TB. After that, I also backed my phone via Clockwork. After that, I opened Rom Manager and downloaded CM9. I got all my apps back!

now off to other issues... is it possible to make folders inside the app drawer? or hide apps?

Which version of cm9 did you install, latest build?
You probably will have potential errors or issues as it appears you did not do a wipe of all data prior to that. Read up a little before you head into problems.

the latest one.

alright. so i should wipe everything first? by holding down the power, volume up and home then from there go to wipe, etc etc right?

then after that, install cm9, then restore my files?

If you are comming from a differenct rom to cm9, it's not recommended to use TitaniumBackup... just say'n.
