Who really reads the credits? lol

I don't........... heck all our Roms are either based on HTC's Rom or Cyanogenmod's Rom i don't believe anyone can make claims on the originals work

I do believe that the people who make Guides do deserve credit all the development here wouldn't exist without threads like these:

These are people that should truly be thanked for sharing their knowledge

And I have plenty of credits on every thread. Like everybody should

And you don't deserve the title developer

Not everyone does but their also untitled to their opinion on the matter......

And you don't deserve the title developer

Your free to have your opinion and im sure nothing will change your mind

Still I'm amazed at how childish some people here can be I'm pretty sure your older then I am and its sad to see a grown man through a temper tantrum on a public Forum

I have a STRONG interest in seeing CM9 still going, for what it's worth. Especially if we can work out MMS.

The point is you took MY work and posted it as your own with no credit or permission. Would I have denied it if you asked? Nope. I would have smiled happily to let someone continue on it.

So be it. Between you and a few others I'm packing up shop here.

I will go elsewhere where there is some semblance of respect

I was hoping to fix the few problems there were in the Rom you decided to give up on which isn't much different from DevilToast Cm9 aside from the Virgin Mobile Logo and if you felt you deserved credit you could have easily sent me a PM and this issue wouldn't have escalated as far as it did

On that note i encourage others to use the work i have done on Mobster Rom no thanks or credit needed I wouldn't mind at all since this is only Software on a Cellphone....... common guys its not that serious

You try building from source and writing code and dealing with all that. Spend countless hours troubleshooting code. Then you have the right to say its not that serious. Doing sense or "senseless" roms don't count.

Okay, I wasn't aware that jmz wasn't even credited.

A lot of hard work went into jmz's CM9 and he should at least be given credit for the work he did.

My bad for not reading the thread.

What I think we should do is just add a credit to jmz in Mobster's thread and move on with our lives

At least tell people where you will be going. I dont have time to develop anything other than for work.

I think that it does matter if you give credit, it's one of the basic principles of open source software.

Androidforums.com encourages and supports those initiatives.

Plus, it's easier for everyone to understand what they are getting and what's changed.

And a whole lot less trouble than this exchange.

PS to jmz - please see your inbox.

Cheers, thanks! :)

I have dealt with Source before........ and if i had something to contribute i'd be glad to assist

However i still stand by my statement that this isn't that serious

Working on Roms or Building Source isn't a job i don't believe anyone here gets paid to do this. This is only a hobby........ something to do when you have free time or bored so yeah this isn't that serious :smokingsomb:

I understand and it was any honest mistake but a simple PM would have fixed the issue

well I consider it a part time job. Between ads on my site and donations I pretty much rely on it. I am active duty navy, with a family of 4 to feed. Military don't pay shit. To put it in perspective, on my pay, I am eligible for food stamps, but I can't as Im military.

So yes, to me its serious.

Not to be a dick but life isn't fair..... this should be obvious to someone serving in the military and your personal life shouldn't be used as a liability for "work" in any Job or Career your work and personal life are separate you think my Boss cares about me or my family?........... NO he doesn't i do my hours and i go home thats it

Any good boss should def care about your family/family life. If nothing else it makes for a more productive worker.

Really though, you always need to ask permission and give credit. That's how this open source thing works.
