Root CMW and Root

I'm trying to put cwm on my sisters phone and I've tried the one click, Terminal Emulator and the odin ways to install it. For some reason it just reboots and does not install. I've followed the instructions but can't get it to work. Any other ideas? I think it maybe because the root on her phone is no longer working. The SU app is still there but not being recognized.
I followed the instructions. I've done it on my Boost TU months ago with no problems. Shes been having so many issues with her phone thats why I was going to put MegaTron on it.

You have to use Odin if the version is 2.3.6. The update killed the one click method previously used on 2.3.4. Go here ---> link and you should be fine. Any questions let me know.
I tried Odin, Hell if I know....lol...I'm home now and won't see her again till Turkey day....I guess I'll just see what I can figure out and either call her and try to walk her through it or she can wait till I see her again.

Hey madroxide, I'm going to put this into the all things root section.. I know it's technically not about rooting but it is the section for CWM things as well and you may find more help there..
As for CWM not installing..
The one click method will only work for 2.3.4 roms
The odin method will work for all versions of the TU, but please make sure you are doing a battery pull after odin puts your phone into a reboot. In all version of 2.3.6 there is a file that will run a script and reinstall stock recovery over that shiny new CWM install you just loaded onto a phone.
So the process is..
1. Odin CWM onto phone.
2. Wait for Odin to reboot phone.
3. Unplug phone and pull battery asap.
4. Put battery back in phone.
5. Turn on phone and boot into CWM before a regular boot.
6. Flash a file to get rid of that annoying script that erases CWM.

So as soon as the screen goes black pull and unplug?
That's right pull , unplug, reboot into cwm right after screen goes black

What I did is: as soon as I pressed start with odin I took out the battery cause the phone will stay on with just the power cord. Then waited the whole 3-5 minutes that it took odin to fully complete then unplugged it that way there was no chance of script running. Then immediately booted to cwm and flashed a rooted rom.
