I wonder if cnn.cn will have a silver dpad, button etc to replace the gold ones with. I noticed the GSM version was rocking silver instead of gold.

It's possible they will. However, you also have to remember that GSM and CDMA counterparts are always just a liiiiiiiittle different in size. Even if it's just a mm sometimes. Hopefully those parts will be interchangeable though.
