Color change for buttons

So I finally got some free time and wanted to try to change the button color. I have done it and it looks niice. Real easy to do took me about 20 mins to do. Only negative thing is that as of right now I dont know how to take the strips of color out once its in, so if your gonna try to do this do it with a color you will be satisfied with.

I used transparent blue ( the kind you see in 3D glasses) cut it into really small pieces, i did three per each button to get a darker blue. Pix below suck because i couldnt get it to really show up in them so the color is more dark in person. Sorry upside down pic tried rotating but it did not save.







Yes some of these pix are blurry but it helps to show the color of the buttons.

I like it. Please post some directions on how you did it. This could be really cool with some of GameTheory's themes on the spirit.

First gotta get the film that you want to use. Blue and red are easy to get, just buy those throw away 3d glasses one pair is enough. Next gotta take the phone apart, I used a guide on YouTube. Real easy to take apart just six screws and few ribbons. Once apart cut really small strips of the film it took me a few cuts to get it the right size. Try to make it a lil bigger than the hole so it's tight in the hole which is on the back of the screen. The more strips you put in the darker the color will be.

I will try to take a few pix tomorrow if I get a chance, for visual aid.

this is really cool is there any negative side effects on button performance that you noticed? as far as the response time?

That's what I was worried about but no delay what so ever
