colors messed up after rooting

Hi all

i have a galaxy note which i love and got into the whole galaxy scene so i went ahead and bought a SGS2 as well. i am hooked on playing a couple of games and i wanted to download one torrent only so i decided to root the phone and i am regretting every bit of it.
Before rooting, the phone was perfect but after rooting, everything is working fine except for colors which is really annoying. everything is pale and black is now light gray. i cant continue using this phone the way it is now so i am literally going to beg here and ask you all to please help me.
Is there a solution to this color problem? How can i unroot the phone without losing my data?

Thank you in advance

Hi Busbah , Firstly what method did you use to root your phone?

The weapon of choice around here is the CF-root method via ODIN.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks for the reply, I found the solution to the problem but to answer you, yes I was using ODIN like you mentioned and what I did was unroot my phone and the colors went back to normal. The torrent file still opens even without rooting which is good but for a gamer, the colors messing up was a big hit for me so I am glad it's back to normal. This is my second galaxy s2. The first one kept on shutting down on it's own and after three days of purchase, I got fed up and bought a new one.

I have the same problem! But i needed to root my phone to unlock my sim card.If I unroot it now will I still be able to use the phone with the current sim-card? I need some help please!

Am I right in believing you rooted so you could use the gs2 unlock from the market. If you have used that and now your phones open to any network you can unroot and you will still be open to any network.

Yes,I have used the Galaxy_S unlock app along with Busybox to unlock the sim card. Can you please recommend me a good unroot-ing method? Here are my phone specs : 2.3.4 XXKG1 Gingerbread.Thank you!

All you need to do is flash the stock kernel that matches your current one from here

If you want to reset your flash counter to zero you'll need to by a usb jig from ebay for that.

I had the same issue with my phone. I ended up flashing the stock Kernel and ROM, then re-rooting and it solved the issue.
