Since day two, I had been getting the message "The process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." The only option is force close. When I hit force close I lose all bars and get the circle with the line through (no service). Then the bars come back.
I've factory rest and soft reset it quite a few times. Even happens with factory rest and no other configurations, not even any contacts. It always initiates the error when I am on a call, or right after I dial. If when dialing, if I do not hit the force close button, I can actually wait for the person to answer and talk for a while. But after about 4-5 minutes I guess it closes itself and the call drops. if during a call, the line just goes dead and I notice the phone screen goes from dark to active. (When you normally hold it up to your cheek it goes dark so you don't accidentally touch something on the screen.)
I thought it might be related to my bluetooth headset. So I disabled bluetooth. It still happens.
Sounds like a bad phone right? Okay, so I got it replaced with another. Again after a day this new one is doing it too.
Resetting to factory defaults doesn't do it and pulling the battery doesn't do it. So please don't give me that advice!
I've called tech support, even talked with Level 3, and chatted online with them also. They all give me the same advice remove apps, do a soft reset (battery pull) or a factory reset. I done them all to no avail.
Is there anything else I can do?
