Help come together and help me tether

I have metro and I can't get my LG esteem to tether to my laptop, I've down loaded PDA net and I've tried Clockwork mod but nothing will connect I have windows 7. My phone keeps saying "Run tether on PC side" basically connecting the two is my issue. PLEASE give me some directions a step by step if you will! :confused:
 
I thought I did install it, how can I tell if it was installed correctly? And if I have all the right drivers?
I went to LG and down loaded the drivers it said to, and I also downloaded ACK.
 
wow really all these apps???? smh just use open garden tethering from the google play market its free and easy to use then your going to have to change the user agent tags on your laptop's browser for example on internet explorer theres a free program to change it for you without any hassle.

Ok first thing first download user agent picker free from this link:

then once its installed open ur browser go to tools then toolbars then customize and u should see UA in blue on the right side select it and click move up till u see it on ur browser top right corner. now click UA icon on ur browser and erase what u see and copy & paste this into that box

click save changes and your good to go! to close that box after ur done making changes just press esc, to revert back to default browser tag just erase the user agent in the box and press save changes and it should be back to default. Anyways thanks to cafonez and TRS-80 For discussing these tags!

I've finally got my tethering working great. Took me awhile though lol I use chrome & all I did was download the latest wifi for root users app, then downloaded a free user agent add-on from the chrome store/add-on page. I used Chrome to Mac & now I'm doing 500mb tether sessions ;) lmao Watching TV & Shit. Its great & perfect quality with no lag! But yeah changing the user agent to Mac worked for me. It seems it won't let u tether on windows unless you do that. Damn, u metro! Lol u will not prevail!
