Root coming from the DX

im a proud droid X owner but i have always liked the fascinate. came across a white one pretty cheap so i picked it up. ( still have DX )

anything you guys suggest right off the bat? this phone is going to be for pure speed.fastest kernel? best rom? ( loved rubix ) stuff along those lines

Well you need to root and get clockwork on there 1st and then just pick the kernel your phone can handle. Maximum performance is OTB kernels.

if you're for all out speed without regards to battery life, learn how to flash roms/kernels
switch to an overclocked kernel.

Yeah thats a crap shoot on OCability. Some cannot even do 1100Mhz stably. Most can do 1200. Thats the average it seems. Less than 1 in 10 can do 1300Mhz stably and you dont know till you try

thanks alot. i have my dx running at 1.2 but with the locked bootloader i wanted something i could play around with a little more. so i figured id give the fascinate a shot.

ill read up on those links and hurry up and wait for it show up in the mail
