Coming Up On Return Date...

It is coming up on the return date for me as I have 5 days left before I can return this phone.

The woman at the best buy that helped me set it up said I had 30 days to return the phone, and 14 days to cancel with T-mobile, but a lot of you said I can more likely than not get away with 30 days of both because T-mobile will have to go with what best buy does. How should I go about this with T-mobile? Please read the below questions! Thanks.

I have signed up for T-mobiles 2 yr unlimited everything and it is $90 / month which is kind of a lot, what can I do or replace on the phone with apps to avoid paying for unlimited texting and voice etc. I use 1000 mins a month or so. I'd love to pay half of that or less if possible but I use the internet a lot where I won't have wifi.

Because I have signed up for a 2 year contract, how can I cancel that and then switch to their other plans which are significantly cheaper? I paid 199 for the phone, not 530. I can't find the plans I'm talking about on their website but it's the ones where you don't have to sign up for anything and its month to month.

Thanks for your help!

Well it doesn't seem like T-Mobile offers the "Even More Plus" plan online anymore. They're required by law to offer non-contract plans though, so you can probably set it up over the phone or in a T-Mobile store. The individual Even More Plus plans are usually like $10-15 cheaper than the contract price.

If you only use about 1000 minutes per month, you may want to consider the 1500 Talk Text & Web plan. It's currently being offered at a promotional rate of $79/mo. In the long run though, the "Plus" plan tends to come out cheaper (do the math).

Tmobile does have the even more plus you have to ask in the store or call tmobile directly

Yes they still offer them. Like stated above, you have to ask for it.
In fact I am in that plan. My 2 yr contract was up last month and requested that specific plan.
500 mins, unlimited text and android plan

You can't get an EMP plan with a subsidized phone. That's the reason those plans are cheaper. You'll have to return the phone and cancel everything, then buy a phone full retail. Best Buy has good financing options though (better than T-Mobile's equipment installment plans). So you can put $200 down and finance the rest, and pay less in monthly payments on the phone than you would pay extra on your monthly bill if you had signed a contract. I don't know if Best Buy can sign you up for an EMP plan though. So you might have to buy the phone at BB and then go to a T-Mobile store to activate the phone on an EMP plan.
