hi guys..
I got my ATT Note3 early Dec. 2013. (not rooted)
the first one.. it had compass issues.
using google maps.. not navigation..just maps.
driving down the road..with it in a dash mount.
the blue arrow, in front of the blue dot (your car), indicating what direction your are heading.
this arrow can be pointing in any direction but the actual direction I am facing.
it looks like I am driving sideways or backwards at 70mph down the highway.
and if I am using the 3rd map; then the map sways..and looking in the wrong direction.
it is funny, I can be going west and it indicate that I am looking North.
then if I turn south..it points west. but no, it could also point east!
at a stop.. the car can go into a spin.. the map starts to spin.
or it can sway back and forth over a 90degree difference.
I have used calibration software to try to fix it.
example: GPS Status or X-Device Test.
this does not fix the issue.
I took it back to place I purchased it.. 2 weeks later.
and had them swap it out with a new one... still the same issue!!!
it does not affect navigation.. I think the navigation software.. uses the GPS movement to show what direction I am headed. so the COMPASS does not come into play.
I would like to see if this is must me.. bad luck.. getting 2 phones with the same issue..
or are there others with same issue???
this is NOT about GPS...
