Help compatible headphones for the Z max

I just got the zMax and I have apple headphones they work fine on my alcatel and my other LG but for some reason the Z max hang up on people when I try to plug them in.has anyone.tried this with apple headphones on this ? ?

I bought these on eBay for under $8.00 and while they are not high-end, they work with the ZMax and sound quality is decent.

Note that you cannot use the inline remote to adjust volume, but you can use it to Answer/End Calls, Play/Pause/Skip Music, Ask Google...

They are of the flat cable variety so they don't get tangled up.
