Complete delete and reset

Top 'o the afternoon to all Admins, Mods and Members here at Android Forums. I see a bunch of conflicting info about how thorough a factory reset on the Android A855 is. Like it does not actually delete and reset everything. What then, pray tell, is the best way to delete everything off of my old Android and reset the unit in a prep for sale type situation? Thanks in advance for advice!

Look under How to revert back to Stock 2.0, 2.0.1, 2.1, or 2.2

But this is only if you are rooted... If you are not, you can simply do a Factory Data Reset under Settings->Privacy

That's because it's not a "factory reset" it's a data wipe. All it does is wipe your data (not apps or anything else).
