Complete or Just Partially Garbage?

I have now officially had FIVE Motorola Triumphs. What an excellent phone.

Phone one: Purchased prior to release date from Best Buy. I thought it had problems as it rebooted randomly throughout the day (2-3 times per day) even after putting fully default everything on it. Returned.

Phone Two: Purchased from Best Buy. Power/Unlock was flush, massive light leakage, back door didn't close. Those alone were just annoying, but added together, I decided to exchange. Also, rebooted randomly.

Phone Three: Best Buy again. When this one unlocked, it would flicker black and white. Whatever. But if you pressed the unlock button twice, the screen would become white and pulsing. Defaulted everything - still occurred. Major defect. Also, rebooted randomly.

Phone Four: Best Buy. This one has a group of about 40 pixels that are brighter than the surrounding ones. It is most noticeable with a white background but pretty obvious all the time. Also, rebooted randomly.

Phone Five: Best Buy. This phone had the same problem as phone Three. Also, rebooted randomly.

So basically, I should have kept the first phone as (unbeknownst to me) the only problem plagues all these phones and it was otherwise fine (small light leakage was the only other complaint, but who really cares).

Now I am stuck. I am currently using PHONE FOUR from above (pixels slightly brighter). Everything else appears functional. The Best Buy by me has no more Triumphs (yep, that's me, single handedly).

Do I return this one with the stuck pixels? Try again for lucky number 6? Or do I just say eff it and keep this one?

Also, my 30 day period is almost up...

I emailed VMU and told them about the issues, they sent me a new one, and all is good. As for the rebooting, I have never had this on either phone, it may be something you are installing

I thought the same about the rebooting so I didn't touch 2 of the phones (didn't install anything, just activated and set it on my desk). Sure enough, both rebooted while sitting there idle.

I will try emailing VM

Now that I think about it, that might be the best solution. They probably have all the new batches there (can you look on the back of your battery cover - the date it was made is printed on there).

How long did the shipping take? Did you send your old one back in before they shipped the new one? You didn't have to pay for shipping did you?

They emailed me last Friday that they were sending me a new one, I got it on Tues, I have 15 days to ship the other one back to them, no shipping charges for either.

another option if you can't manage to get a triumph that isn't having problems is to step down to the optimus (you'll want to root and get link2sd set up)

I had an Optimus V. I actually went from a Vibrant to the V (downgrade) and have been looking to get back up for a while. This came along and I was hoping this was the time (already sold my V)
