Complete "system transfer"

Hi, I have used a HTC Legend for a while... Now I have a brand new terminal (also a HTC legend) and I basically want to transfer all my settings/data/application and whatever more there is to the new phone...

Now are there any pretty easy way of doing it? Or do I have to get into nandroid/rooting and whoknowswhat of pretty lesser userfriendly stuff to get it done?

don't think it should be hard, just put all your stuff on your SD card and there should be restore buttons in the Settings menu to load your settings.
Apps take a little longer, either use HTC Sync to load each individually or put them on your SD card and use an app installer.
