Help Complete Wipe and Firmware Install

I am trying to perform a complete wipe of my device and firmware reinstall with the following dial code:

*2767*3855# It's a complete wiping of your mobile also it reinstalls the phones firmware

However when I attempt to do this I get the following error message:

"USSD running" and like 2 seconds later the message "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"

I did try and root the device unsuccessfully I might add but re-installed the FW thru Odin but in doing so, I noticed some things were weird like a "kids" mode on the ATT S4 which I NEVER noticed before...I think its a different variant of the FW but cant confirm them.

Any assistance is appreciated

Why not do a Factory reset from the settings menu?

I am not sure if I indeed installed the ATT Firmware when I odin'd back to stock. I think I used a generic S4 firmware. I think I still have the correct ATT firmware and I'll try and Odin back tonight. That should do the same thing right?

I'm not 100% sure, but no I don't think so.
It depends on the individual tar/md5 file, but as far as I'm aware most Odin flash files will not factory reset as part of the flash.
I seem remember old S2 firmware flashes with only a few were "with wipe", so I'm not entirely sure what the S4 Odin packages do, as I have only ever flashed any by doing a full wipe beforehand.
Give it a go I suppose, and see what happens, but you can always do it from the settings menu, or even in standard Recovery.

A certain rusty old octogenarian may well be able to shed more light on this

Flashing stock firmware, by its very nature, is a no wipe process and if you have previously flashed an incorrect firmware for your model of phone, I would be inclined to do an FDR immediately after flashing. You can do this in Recovery Mode.

You probably flashed the NJ4 firmware. It's the lastest update from AT&T and it's kitkat 4.4.4. They added kids mode and several other things to it.
