completely clearing phone

Well I'll start with a quick recap from a few months back....

IWanted to clear my phone so I could essentially start from a fresh like a brand new phone, only nothing I did would wipe the internal card. I tried formatting internal sd card from within the menus, doing hawkers wipes, wipes in recovery etc, but nothing worked.

Well today I kinda found how to do it, inadvertently!

IWas in cwm(dorimanx 8.14) and while doing the wipes etc I decided to check some other options out, I went into mounts and storage then formatted internal sd, this had more than the desired effect!

It wiped the entire card, absolutely everything bar clockworkmod folder....unfortunately for me, it wouldn't then install from the external card so I was kinda screwed!

However I didn't panic, no,I downloaded the latest firmware stock, and flashed over Odin....downloading took around 45 mins or something, and less than 4 minutes to actually flash, I let it restart....discovered I had a full 11.50gb free storage :-)

Booted back into download mode, flashed siyah, let it reboot, booted into recovery, did a backup, flashed neat lss, flashed siyah and I now have a working s2 again :-)

Just got to convince my Mrs she'd prefer to use it rather than her single core 1.4ghz galaxy w!

Anyway, now you know how to completely format the phone, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it ;-)

Well you wanna first make sure you have everything backed up, external sd card works and allows you to flash Roms from it. And finally have a nandroid backup.

you are now ready to lose all info stored on your phone....

Boot into recovery, go to mounts and storage, format system, data, cache, and internal sd card.

Then for the sake of it you could come out, do a factory reset.

Install your chosen Rom from external sd card and it should be like a new phone :-)

This will delete ALL pictures, music anything stored on internal memory. You could probably format emmc, but I don't know if this could cause any problems so would avoid it unless someone more experienced here says differently! Lol.

If your Rom installs ok, it will take a while for first boot :-)
