Help Completely customised dictionary

I'm getting very frustrated with the dictionary on my HTC Sensation. I make certain typos all the time (e.g. thus instead of this) and I would really like to delete the alternatve words from my dictionary so they are automatically corrected to the word I want. But I only seem to be able to edit words I have manually saved, not the entire dictionary. Does anyone know if there is a way to either alter the built in dictionary or delete it entirely and install a new one?

There are plenty of other keyboards in the market. I use Swiftkey X and it is supposed to learn from what you type and correct.
