COMPLETELY lost data connection!!!

No, b/c they couldn't get the phone to activate (no data) when the new SIM was inserted into the new phone. (The did after about 1/2 an hour & told me that a VZW rep had made changes to my account- ie as if I had a different phone- mistakenly and never corrected it.)

idk what did it. Maybe the multiple phone calls/emails I sent to VZW? LOL

I will post again if I lose data. The latest guy I spoke to said it was a packet hand-off issue.

Will you be going back to the TB?

Not sure. I really like the TB but I need reliability. I'm hoping the update fixes it but it better do it soon. My store is working with me but time will become an issue soon and I will have to choose something. If it is fixed this week I will go with the TB. If not, on the 28th I will pick up the DINC2.

This seems to happen to me in areas where there's spotty 4G coverage. The phone would go to 1x mode and will not get any data. When this happens, I use LTE OnOFF TeamAndIRC (see linky) to put the phone into 3G mode only. And then it works perfectly. And when I'm back in an area with solid 4G coverage I re-enable LTE.

Thanks! I've been looking for this for my husband's phone. He works in a spotty 4G area and has been having trouble with his 3G coverage.

:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

For the past 4 days I have had connectivity issues. Yesterday, I was late for a meeting because I couldn't get Google maps to work. I decided to take a cab, but I couldn't get the address b/c my internet wasn't working!

This morning I couldn't get onto the internet, and there were no emails on my phone.

THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!

The VZW technical support (using the term VERY loosely) had me do a factory reset (which I had already done- WHY do they insist on making you re-do things you have already done in an attempt to fix things?!?). I had already done several battery pulls, etc.

Then- WITHOUT checking it had fixed the problem- he said, "Well, if it happens again..." at which point I interrupted and told him it was STILL happening, and that the second factory reset had not fixed the problem, either.

Long story short- they are sending me a replacement. A refurb. I. Am. PISSED.

My next step is to remove & reinsert the sim card.

GRRRRRRR.

Oh My...Its only a phone, too much Drama for me. Always take the phone to a Verizon Corp. store first when you have an issue.

Hey guys you still having the same problems? CRAZY!! i dumped the Tbolt about 3 weeks ago because of exactly what you guys are experiencing. VERY unreliable data connection. I have the iphone in the meantime. Data SOLID, but slow as CRAP.

Let me know if the Leaked update works.

Well, now I'm totally stumped. My husband was having data issues, but he's in and out of spotty 4G areas so I thought that could be his issue. I'm now having data issues. I guess I don't notice as much because I'm mostly on wifi at home.

It's not limited to going in and out of 4G. I live in a rural (strictly 3G) area. I had up to 5 disconnects per day.

I use the "CDMA + LTE /EvDo Auto" mode aall the time and it switches from 4g to 3g perfectly

I'm having the exact, exact, same issues. That's why I came here! I should remove and replace the SIM card, huh? I didn't think these phones had SIM cards?

Wut? Are you rooted? Dd you flash the right radio? How did you not know they have sim cards? You have to place it in when you get it, or they do it at the store, and all through your user manual it talks about it...

Oh and just an FYI, those aren't my fingers.......

I think it's becoming abundantly clear that Verizon pushed this phone to market way to early in it's 4g evolution. Most likely due to Market pressure.

I think unless your in a direct 4g painted zone e.g. NYC, we will continue to have data issues like so many are reporting. Some may be sim card / Hardware related and some may be zone / auto-registration related. Verizon is years away from having a mature enough 4g network to be able to offer 4g phones like they plan. We're all seeing this in the multitude of delays with 4g phones coming from this carrier.

Basically... buyer beware.

nope... here too in nyc. i made a post about it a few days ago you guys are having the same issues i am
