Root completely operational boot-up time

If I change the boot animation files to a shorter length, will the evo 4G boot-up faster, or is there still a process going on in the background at that time and I will have dead space till it finishes running?

PS: Please post your boot-up times from "on" button push to completely operational.

The boot animation is just something to entertain you while the system loads. It's doing several things while it does this, such as loading the operating system. You'll notice that when you wipe cache/dalvik, it takes longer to boot because it has to rebuild cache. Basically, boot time is variable, and is based simply on how long it takes to load everything.

I guess then that the reason for part 0 (static image) is the loop or "runtill" untill the system processing finishes.
What is your boot-up time?

It took about 37 seconds to get to the lock screen. It usually takes another 15 - 20 before everything is running smoothly.

Mine took 1 minute 25 seconds to get to operational. This included a quick swipe of lockscreen.
