Root Completely reinstalling Android after a COMPLETE wipe

FailDroid

Lurker
So. I'm an idiot. I was working with my Nexus 7 today and trying to fix the KitKat wifi problem and downgrade to JB (I'm rooted. duh.) and I accidently wiped EVERYTHING besides TWRP. So, now there is absolutely nothing. No Android. No files. Just TWRP. All I can do is look at the Google logo. Please halp. I would really appreciate it. :D

You can use a tool like Wugs Nexus Root Toolkit and using its ”Flash Stock + Unroot” option with the soft bricked trigger to restore the proper factory build you desire.

Nexus Root Toolkit v1.8.1 | WugFresh

Be sure to select the proper device, follow the instructions NRT will present to you and in no time you will be back up and running.

Once you are back up and running use NRT or recovery to make a nandroid of your device and you will be able to easily recover and revert destructive changes very quickly.

Ok. Will I need to enable USB debugging though? Sorry as the name suggests I've only had Android for about 2 months.. If I do how would i do it?

Ouch. Another problem.
It won't detect Fastboot I know that I'm connected to USB and I have bootloader up but won't detect my device. Windows keeps saying "failed to install drivers." which is what I think the problem is, Any help?

There should be a driver install tutorial in NRT, follow it.

It will recommend a driver pack to install, install what the tutorial suggests and give it another go.

Moved this thread over to the root forum as it's root related.
