Completely useless

I bought a second hand Note Edge today just to have a play with it, and unfortunately my conclusion is that it is completely useless.

I also have a Note 4. There is nothing I can do on the Edge that saves me more time or effort than on a standard Note 4.

In fact, it feels even more clumsy to swipe on the Edge to access applications, contacts, etc....

The only functionality that might come in handy is the ruler, but then again how many times would you be using your phone as a ruler?

Also the battery is smaller at 3,000mAh, I was using it and I could see the battery percentage drop. After about 10 minutes I've already lost almost 10%.

So this thing is going back on Ebay tomorrow, and I go back to my trusty Note 4.

I get why you're sticking w/the NOTE4,the battery life & capacity + the better feel-in-hand are reasons enough to move away from the Note Edge.

But,I kinda disagree w/your Completely Useless summary of the Edge screen.
I myself rarely used it,despite it being one of the reasons I bought the phone to begin with.
But,I'm guessing the clumsy feel-in-hand for you is what ultimately pushed you away,as it did me,which led to me rarely,almost never using it.

There's a stickied thread in this Edge forum that lists a vast amount of Edge apps & I'm guessing there's a lot that can be done w/it.

On a phone like the S6 Galaxy Edge or Edge +,with the slimmer profile,I'm betting I'd be more apt to use the Edge screen,wish it were incorporated into the Note5 (w/o adding to the overall width)......
I think the Note Edge is an awesome phone,but,going against what I already discovered w/the Oppo N1 & Nexus6,they were similar in width,in the 3.25" range,& was the main reason I didn't hang on to them for long.
Got each for a singular/unique feature (N1's swiveling camera) & the Nexus 6 for finally being a MOTO Nexus & a spec beast.

And,as w/these two,the Edge,w/it's uniqueness, was just too cumbersome for one-handed use for myself.

I also never had any issues with the edge screen. For me the phone has been a great change. From just having a rectangular phone in which all other phones do the same functions was really boring. The edge panel has become a must have, I have folders of apps I use the most, favorite contact, music controls, notifications and I still can add more. For been completely useless is an over statement you just need to find the need to have those functions.
