Help Completely Wipe Bionic?

Hey everyone. I will be selling my Bionic here soon. I have flashed it back to stock and want to make sure the phone number is removed, but I can't seem to get that to happen. In the past when I was a Sprint customer, I was able to use the generated MSL code to wipe the phone. On the Bionic it seems like no matter what I do the number remains in the about phone area.

Help? Thanks.

It gets removed once your SIM card and IMEI get deactivated from your phone. If you already have another phone, and don't plan on using this one anymore, I'd suggest performing a factory reset - that will take care of everything else.

The phone number was actually switched over to a different device about a week ago. After that change was made and the new phone was activated I removed the 4G sim card.

Since then I have tried a factory reset. The information still remains in the phone.

Any more ideas?

Can you still make voice calls on the old phone?

Along with the factory reset as johnlgalt suggests and I would also format the internal SD card as well. When you go into the factory reset menu it will give you the option to format the internal SD as well. To be safe, unmount and remove your external SD card first.

As far as the phone number goes, it may just be remembering the last thing it had and as soon as a new/different SIM gets inserted it will grab that info and hold onto it.

Just a guess...

A factory reset wipes everything - meaning you cannot go looking into the phone and see contacts, etc. unless they are on the SIM, which you removed. Plus, a factory reset takes you back to when the phone was first purchased, where you have to sign in to your Google account, etc. If you don't sign in to your Google account, you cannot go looking in the contact for phone numbers, etc.

Factory rest wipes the phone clean.

Are you sure you're performing a factory reset? If so, how are you doing it?
