Root Completely Wiped Stock Rom - PLEASE HELP

cg121792

Lurker
I flashed a new rom, stupidly without backing up my current rom (first time I've ever done this.) I now am stuck with the rom I flashed and I desperately want to get back to the stock sense rom (I have the EVO LTE.)

Is there ANY WAY I can get back to that stock rom even though it is not backed up? I did a complete 'wipe' of the system using TWRP, and it even stated it would completely delete the rom.

Curious, what Rom did you flash?

There should be a link to the stock rooted Rom around here somewhere. I'm on the phone so I can't really link

If not, nearly all of our custom roms are based on stock.

You can get back to the stock ROM by unrooting using a HTC ROM Update Utility (RUU). But a better bet is probably to find a rooted stock ROM. I don't know this phone and it's ROMs, but I'm sure someone will be able to point you to one. I note that there's a short list of ROMs in this forum's All Things Root Guide sticky post, the first of which claims to be rooted stock, so maybe that is what you need.

^This. :)

The odexed one is stock as shipped to you, the deodexed one is identical, just put on a little diet to save a little storage (no change in functions).

They include only the superuser and busybox apps - otherwise, you wouldn't be rooted.
