Comprehensive list of known issues?

I always hit the speaker button when I'm talking to someone. Not really an issue just annoying.

That's weird, mine turns off and disables the screen when I have it up against my ear.

Mine does both. I bump the speaker or mute buttons depending on which ear I have the phone to. Other times I have noticed when I call an automated phone line, for example Sprint's automated bill pay line, the phone disables the screen after just a few seconds and I have to double tap the screen every time I need to input a phone number, credit card number, option number, etc... Both are equally annoying.

When setting up my voicemail, I ran into the automated system issue... but I just turned on speakerphone and brought up the dialer, and that solved that. Only other solution is to pull it away from your ear and just be patient enough to wait for the screen to come back on.

Exactly where is this Emergency Button? Lock screen?

Yeah if you use the lock screen (not the keyguard, the actual lock) then there's an emergency call button like, right there. Directly above the 'menu' button, which you would hit to unlock the keyguard.

I guess I've never locked the screen--it just does it automatically after timing out?

If you have it enabled, yes. Any time the screen goes off, the lock will show when you turn it back on.

My personal problem is that, when I wake up the phone to browse the internet, I will have my thumb on the scree when I slide out the keyboard (this is the other way to wake up the phone besides hitting the red button. It is more efficient to do when you know you are going to be typing something).

Anyways, I have my thumb on the screen for traction when I slide out the keyboard, then the screen comes on, and the emergency button is triggered. So then, instead of browsing, I am restarting the phone to make the emergency dialer go away.

OK, now I'm getting PO'd.
I had it in my pocket, walking up some steps, and suddenly I heard 'BEEP BEEP BEEP!'
I had dialed emergency IN MY POCKET! WTF!? How does the even happen? I have accidentally dialed emergency 5 or 6 times now!

Oh, and another issue that needs to be resolved. The call waiting option... Pressing the green button does not switch between calls. You actually have to bring up a menu to do it! This is a horrible problem when driving.

Also, it seems that the App market will not work while the WiFi is enabled. Needs to be fixed!

Weird, it works perfectly fine for me....

I thought so too, however... you can browse and whatever, but if you go to download something, it will just hang there until you disconnect from wifi... I tried that (and confirmed) this when I went to update 2 items and download 2 more and they all just sat there in the "Starting Download" screen... for a couple of minutes... proceeded to turn off wifi, and as soon as that happened, they started downloading...

Not sure when it was that I moved from Dayton OH to somewhere between Johannesburg and Pretoria, but that is where my Moment and Google Maps thinks I am!!!
The GPS sucks.
Also I see that your Samsung Moment front page indicates that it comes with Android 1.6, but it actually comes with Android 1.5 (at least mine did when I bought it at a Sprint store last Wednesday (Nov 11th))

I'm amazed that when I bought my old Samsung Instinct it came with a spare battery and a charger, but the Moment does not. Battery life on this thing is a joke. A couple hours data usage and it is dead.

Been running my phone since I got up about 7 hrs ago with over 3 hours of browsing. Are you not letting your battery drain completely?

In the email app (not gmail) you cannot delete your old mail from the trash, nor is there any way for you to empty the trash.
Samsung is aware of this (according to the Sprint CS reps who called them while I was on the line).
Sprint is hoping the rom update will fix a lot of problems, and no, the CS people I talked to do not know when it's going to pop.

Screen timeout - It seems to be "stuck" at like 4 seconds. I changed it from 30 seconds to 1 minute, no difference. I was able to set it so it doesn't turn off when charging though. Searching for some other related options now, since I've only had the phone for 2 days :D

1) when in your e-mail (g-mail or other) - you're only able to attach files associated with pictures (and documents to go for those who have that app). to attach a video file, you have to go to the file and 'share' via gmail/email to have it attached.

2) whenever you're roaming, it beeps to notify you and there's not really any way to turn this notification off...

re: unwanted alerts:
Select a 'silent' notification for system alerts. Then go to each application that you do want an alert for and set that individually in its' settings.
This also works for the alert that happens when you plug in the phone.

Totally agree with this one!

I read over in Sprint Community that soem are having issues with the Moment randomly going into Airplane Mode. Anyone here experiencing this?

Im thinking the "supposed" LED at the top of the phone is not so much a LED but more of a proximity sensor, hence the reason why the phone goes black when anything comes close to it(give it a try)...but thats just what i think:)

I got out a 10X jeweler's loupe and checked them out. It looks like the two on the right are connected together with another smaller "bubble" between (connecting) them. The one on the left is separated from them by about it's own diameter.

I'd say the connected ones comprise one sensor and the left one another.

Both the light sensor and the proximity sensor work I my phone, so if those connected ones were an anomaly they probably wouldn't.

"probably wouldn't"... what? Be another sensor (the legendary LED)? Or wouldn't... be?
