Compute build question

Android Enthusiast
Hey guys,
I'm getting a new computer. I wanted to ask if there was anything I could upgrade in the following list to help the build process be as fast as possible:
(No, I'm not trying to brag. It's a new computer, and I wanted to ask you experts if there's anything I could make better before I order this).

AMD FX 8150 8-core processor (I can use -j16 on this, right? Or was it -j32?)
16 GB RAM @ 1600 MHz (Too much? Should I downgrade to 8 GB? I want it to be a bit future-proof, going to have this for a few years.)
ATI Radeon 7970 3GB 900MHz base clock (also going to game... and, again, future proof)
1 TB HDD @ 32 MB Cache
120 GB SSD @ 550 MB/s

That's about it. If there's anything I should upgrade/downgrade, just suggest it. If this is off-topic, just delete this, or ask me to edit it out.

What are you planning to do with 8 cores and 16 Gig of RAM, or is that the minimum spec for windows 8 these days? ;)

my Question is this that when i start my pc a little little voice of kt kt kt kt kt is listen, previously it was not present,
Any body tell me what kind of voice is? what i should do???
is it dangerous or not???

But seriously, check your fans and listen to your hard drive.

As for the build, it's future-proofed enough but why not wait for Ivy Bridge?

Man, that would be a killer Lightroom rig!

Your graphics card is definitely a bottleneck.

I've got to disagree with you on that one. The 7970 is probably the best-performing single-GPU card available based on the tests I've seen. 58fps on Crysis 2 @ 2560x1600, (very high quality) doesn't sound bottlenecked to me, for example.

You can't have too many cores or too much RAM. 16GB may seem like overkill now, but it's cheap so if you've got the budget why not look ahead? :)

Check your case and CPU cooler fans, Tom. That sounds either like one has become loose or its bearings are on the way out.
