Help Computer crashed while updating

Earlier today I was trying to root my phone but a number of the methods available were not working - I had been having issues since I updated with a custom 2.1 ROM, so was advised to flash with a different 2.1 ROM. I used the Black Quarx ROM (the one with clockwork recovery). Just as the process was getting under way, my computer crashed.

Since then when i turn my phone on it comes up with the lg logo then an animated lg logo but just cycles between the two of them.

I am able to boot the phone so it goes into download mode but not sure what to do from there.

Modem isn't appering in my device manager so i cant disable that. any ideas on steps to take? Thanks in advance...

This happened to me trying to install cyanogen. Try turning the phone off, then flash it with a ROM you know works using the KDZ_FW_UPD tool in CS_EMERGENCY mode.

Should do the trick.
