Root Computer file associations

I just want to remind everyone about file associations on their computers. I have always chosen to show hidden file assoc with every computer. It is important to remember this when rooting and renaming files.

I was removing the ".zip" from a few files and was having frustrating issues getting things to flash. Then a member in a thread of mine made a comment which turned on my light bulb. DUH... I was removing the file assoc and making the file unusable.

Essentially if a person has a .zip file they need to flash and it's been downloaded to your computer, and you have ALL of your file assoc shown, it will still need to read ".zip". I know most people don't choose this method on their computers. Hopefully this will save someone else some time and frustration.

because Microsoft Knows whats best for you and don't you ever question the wisdom of Mr Gates again


I had a program several years ago that said Please install Windows 2000 or better so I put on Linux
