ROM or at least Android version in description or profile will be helpful.
Are you trying to connect the phone as USB memory, or in developer mode? If you want to use the USB mass storage, be sure that option "Settings / Applications / Development / USB debugging" (or similar, I'm too lazy to switch the phone to english) is not checked.
If you install newer Android version than supported by software delivered by phone manufaturer, it will most probably don't recognize the device in developers mode then.
You can try to install Android, it can also install many phone drivers : Android SDK | Android Developers
It this doesn't help (like some phones on 64-bit Windows), try to search for the Android USB driver for your ROM on Google.
