Help Computer not seeing inspire as data drive

Lurker
So must I always work through HTC sync to get everything off the phone and onto the computer? I'm new and finding that is the only way. I would like to open my photo editor and have it see the Inspire as drive and open the files, but it doesn't see any file in that drive. Is there an app for that or am I missing something?

Good question...I'm wondering the same thing.

"What type of USB connection does my device support?

Your device supports the following USB connection types: Charge only, HTC Sync, Disk Drive, USB Tethering, and Internet pass-through.

To change your connection type, connect your device to your PC using the provided micro USB cable and make your selection from the popup menu or go to Home>Settings> Connect to PC and make your selection there."

If you select "Disk Drive" then you can browse your phone's file system from your computer.

Thank you, I discovered this setting on my own this morning and changed it from "HTC Sync" to "Disc Drive" and now I'm able to access the phone data. The data is organized in folders with names I find I bit strange, but this was the change I was looking for
