Root Confused by LG Motion modding process

Hi all.

I read through a lot of threads regarding the LG Motion including the rooting guide, LTE recovery guide and The Collab ROM.

I have a Galaxy Nexus and the process for modding is different than the Motion so it's kind of confusing for me.

My questions are:

(1) The LG Motion doesn't seem to have unlocked bootloader. That means it's stuck on Android 4.0.4? So then all the ROMs are based on Android 4.0.4 right?

(2) Also, the Collab ROM instructions tell you to "boot into ClockWorkMod, factory reset, wipe cache and flash the ROM". How do you get ClockWorkMod? The rooting guide says that using ROM Manager would brick your phone. I don't know how else to flash Clockworkmod. Is there a guide for this anywhere?

(3) Regarding the automated bloatware removal. Does this simply uninstall metropcs apps that you don't need? With root access, I can do this manually right? I don't want to remove all bloatware as some may be useful.

I haven't rooted yet, but as far as CWM goes, it's an app the you install. You run the app and it boots you to recovery. It's not something that gets flashed to overwrite the stock recovery; as an example, from what I gather, if you select the option to reboot recovery, while in recovery, you will end up enacting the factory recovery and factory wiping the phone. As mentioned in the prior post, it's in the all things root thread under the section for recovery.

Edit: fix a word that got auto corrected to a different word. I hate auto correct.
