Connect mobile phone web to Tablet

I just bought an HTC EVO view tablet. I'm already using my Thunderbolt for web connection on my Laptop w/ the PDA tether app.

Is there a way to use my mobile 4G internet for my tablet without paying for the $30 hot spot from Verizon?
