can't connect my Samsung galaxy3 to computer

You will need the correct drivers installed on your PC which you can find HERE.
Upon connecting to the PC, swipe down the notification bar on the phone and see if there is an option there to enable usb mass storage. By default on most devices you have to switch the option from charge only to mass storage. That default setting can be changed to always connect to the pc as well.
