Help Connect to PC ?

When I connect my Evo V to my PC via the USB cable in Disk Drive storage mode(or any other mode),it doesn't register at all.
Either on the phone or the PC.Do wee need drivers to make it work ?

Yes, Windows users must download drivers before connecting the phone.

What do you mean it doesn't register at all? If you just want to access the microSD, select disk drive mode. After you select it, make sure you press "done" button at the bottom of the screen.

Still need drivers, get them here. You want to download htc sync, that will have the drivers included.

I kinda figured out the problem,but not all.
I tried 2 more cables I had and then it showed up as being recognized by my PC. But..I still cant see it in
MY Computer as a disk drive.So I cant drag and drop files onto the card,or remove as well.
I will keep trying,HTC contacted meabout it and told me all the basic steps but no joy yet.

When you connect to your computer does the phone show you the notification to choose charge only, sync or disk drive? If so choose disk drive and click the button on the bottom.

Is your phone locked? If it's locked, you won't get the screen that lets you choose between "charge mode" and "mount as drive". You have to unlock the phone and then connect the usb.

It was just bad cables,the one that came with it,and another I had.
They would charge fine,but if connected to a PC it wouldnt register at all,either on the phone or the PC.
Everything works good now.
I had to buy a New Data cable to fix it though.

Get Virgin to send you one under warranty.
