Help Connected Media and Wifi

Hey Anyone know how to turn off the wi-fi prompt whenever I open the connected media app?

I hate turning on the wifi because I notice it drains the battery faster.

Or is there another *free* app that can let me view my videos, pictures, etc?

Not sure if I understood your problem. Connected media is as it says; it looks for media servers that's on your network. Of course it will require WiFi.

To view pictures/videos you've taken with the phone, go to Gallery>Albums.
