Help connected to wifi but no internet access

Good day!

I bought an HTC Hero from another country, and now I'm back home.. I am able to connect to wifi but it doesn't have any internet access.. It shows that it is connected, but i am not able to open sites or use apps which requires the internet.. any help?

Hi jonasclyde and welcome to Android Forums. Not knowing but taking a guess, you might have to get a different SIM card. Perhaps another more knowledgeable about a foreign Hero might chime in. In any event, I wanted to welcome you to these forums. Enjoy....

Hi!.. Thanks for the reply.. Got a lot of helpful information in this forum.

Anyway, Im not the only one expeiencing the issue.. I got 2 phones and my sister we are using 2 different SIM card.. thats why I think it could be the settings.
