Help Connecting an external drive

[Android Question]

I bought an ASUS T701 tablet and I bought two years ago a Seagate portable disk (STBU100020) which I can connect through my USB. Since some months I am not able to connect anymore. You see twice "external disk is placed", but it disappears immediately an no disks are added in my filemanager.

I reinstalled my ASUS, I formatted my SEAGATE, but nothing worked.

Does anybody knows what I can do?

Sounds like it's your otg cable being naughty then, try to connect any other flash drive and see if you get something similar.
