Help connecting to 3g

Is your 3g enabled? It should say 3G in the notification bar. If not, then you need to enable it via the Settings menu.
Setting>Wireless & Networks>Mobile networks>check data enabled.
Hope that helps.

ya ive tried that, but it seems really slow like i barely have service, maybe its just the network? but thanks for the reply and suggestion i appreciate it.

It is probably just the network. Sprint is known for slow data speeds. A recent PC Magazine test showed Sprint as the slowest national carrier. Try testing your 3G at 6am or after midnight. If you get decent speeds then (as I do) then it is a network capacity issue. I can get over 2000kpbs at low usage times, but my data speeds crawl during peak hours - if I can get anything at all.

I had something strange happen to me yesterday. I have the elite and my wife has the ov. I had noticed slow internet speeds on my elite the last couple of days so I ran speednet test and had 130kbps downloads. My wife's ov was over 2000(with mirage's ROM).

So even though my status bar showed 3g , in : settings: about phone: status: the network showed 'CDMA- 1x-rtt'.

I tried every thing,I went to ##DATA# no luck. Long story short, I had to run the activate app to get my 3g back.

Don't know if that helps anyone or not but don't always trust the 3g symbol in status bar.
