Help Connecting to a Mac

I have a Tab P1010. I also have a Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard.

First off, Kies doesn't work with the 1010.
But even more annoying... When I connect the Tab to the Mac, the screen on the Tab says "Connecting to Kies"... Kies does nothing.
If I hit OK to cancel the connection to kies, the Tab goes to it's home screen, but the Tab doesn't mount on the Mac.

This means that apart from bluetooth, I have no way of transferring files to the Tab.

Can anyone help me in the ways of transferring files from a Mac to the Tab?

I'm guessing that the Galaxy tab menus are similar to the Galaxy S menus. Sorry if they are too different.

Go to menu>settings>USB options and select either mass storage or notify on connection (something to that effect). Now when you plug in the tab to the Mac you will either be automatically connected in mass storage mode or you will be prompted on how to connect.

I do n ot have the USB option in the settings menu.
I have found out how to mount the Tab on the Mac.
Settings, wireless and network, USB settings. This is only availble when not connected via USB.
Set debugging mode to on.
Plug in the Tab
Then on the top of the Tab's screen will appear a USB icon. Slide down the top of the screen, and click on USB Connected.
Then appears a screen with the green Android and a button labeled "Mount"
Click this and the Tab mounts on the Mac.

Not so easy, but it works. Files transferring both way ate a decent speed.

If Only Kies worked, it would be so much easier
