Help connecting to tablet with laptopo

hello, I have a Samsung galaxy tablet 10.1I am unable to connect the tablet to my laptop running windows 7 using a cable.
Any suggestions please?

Hello now your using the cable for the hook up . never seen this done but it is possible to teether .

Can you explain what it is you are actually trying to achieve by doing this? Also, please tell us what happens when you connect the two and what it is you expected to happen that didn't?

Go to Samsung net page support, and get the USB download for your tablet.

I've connected my GN/2014 to my desktop computer using the usb cable that came with the tab. Iv'e done this to transfer files. My computer is running Win 7.
