Help Connecting with Windows 7 PC

I have a Desire HD and a Sony PC with W7 and a Wireless Network Card. I also have a BT Home Broadband Wireless Hub.

I cannot seem to get the DHD to connect with the PC in any meaningful way.

When both the PC and the DHD are connected to the Hub via Wifi, I cannot get them to "see" each other.

I was really hoping to be able to stream videos etc between the PC and the DHD, but no use.

Any suggestions? I have tried fiddling with all the combinations of settings in the Windows Connections Centre. The PC can see my Wifi broadband, but I can't seem to set up a new network to include the phone. When I try to set up a new connection point, the computer says it can't find any devices.

Estrongs File Explorer can access network shares over WiFi.
You can play videos (stock player format) on the share, but it's no real streaming.

If you want play videos e.g. with RockPlayer, you have to copy the video on SD card.

I guess I have two questions really

1 what level of interactivity should I expect between the phone &
the pc if everything wad working property ?

2 as both are DLNA capable should there be further benefits from linking them ?

I don't think this can be correct. The app called Connected Media is designed to let you stream to other devices . If my pc is DLNA enabled shouldn't I be able to connect them via WiFi?

Oh sorry, I did speak about the file manager Estrongs File Explorer and not about Connected Media.

Connected Media I didn't try yet :)

EDIT: I did a quick look in the manual:
Only shows the way with Connected Media streaming to DLNA devices.
I think the app is not for PC streaming to Desire HD.
