Help "connection problem" error message

When trying to use the voice recognition microphone to dictate a text message, I get a "connection problem" error message. Is there a fix for this?

Well, I answered my own question. What I didn't realize was that the voice input function was web based. It requires that the 3g services be running when using that function. I had turned off the 3g to conserve the battery, hense the "connection problem." Hope this helps someone else here.

I live in an outlying area and my 3G comes and goes constantly...thanks for pointing out what the user's manual should say!
