Help Connection to Laptop

How do I connect HTC Inspire 4G to Laptop? I want to copy some music file from laptop to my phone.

Have you installed HTC Sync on your PC yet? You'll need this to provide Windows the device drivers it needs to successfully establish the connection. You can find the drivers here...

Have you tried with the data cable. I did not install anything. I just connected it and it recognized. It and asked me to choose. I selected disk drive. That's it. The phone showed as an external drive. I just copied songs to it.
