Considering a DESIRE. Can I do a global search

On my present phone, on a daily basis, I enter many ideas or note good deals etc etc etc in my calendar. At a later date, say I wanted to find the deal on Red Bull at Poundstretcher which I entered back in July, I would just click Windows Start/Search and enter "Red Bull." The phone would then search globally through my calendar, contacts, Excel Mobile and Word Mobile and then display all the finds. Wondered if any of you users could tell me if, that's something either the Wildfire or the Desire would be able to do as that's really important for me and would be a deal breaker.

Yes, you can do this on the Desire S. Using the Google Search widget/app, you can search your phone's contents. You can (de)select which items to search in its 'Search settings' menu.

You mention the Desire and Wildfire. This is a forum for the 'S' version of the Desire. The Wildfire has an 'S' version, too. Both are updated versions of their predecessors. If you're interested in the Desire and not the Desire S, then you might want to ask your question in the Desire forum to be sure, although I would think it does what you want, too.
