Considering switching to the Inc. 2! Help a dummy

undergone

Well-Known Member
So I switched to an iPhone in October after HTC's awful customer service with the Increible 1 and Gingerbread. Not to mention my power connector was loose. I was considering waiting for the Incredible 4G but I don't want to lose my unlimited data.

What is a fair price for an Inc. 2 on today's market? I see a few on Craigslist for $200. The cheaper posts are sketchy.

I would also like to use a 64GB microsd card. Can anyone direct me to cheap place to get one? I've heard they work for the Inc. 2.

Also, any good case recommendations would be appreciated!

Feel free to beat me up for having an iPhone but I'm hoping to come back into the Android community and never make the iPhone mistake again... :p

Thanks in advance for the help.

I just purchased and Inc 2 off craigslist for $50 and it is only 6 months old. It's in great shape. I also just got an Inc 2 Accessory bundle that Verizon is discontinuing for $20. It has a window and dash mount, Anit Glare display protectors, vehicle charger, shell\holster, puregear stereo headset. The only reason I was looking for it was my Org Incredible died so I needed a phone I can use till the Inc 4G comes out.

I am not sure how you think buying an Inc2 and activating it will keep your unlimited data though. Then only thing that will do that is to renew your contract for 2 wears with a new phone upgrade.

$150-$175 or more seems pretty standard around here from what I've seen (Craigslist, eBay, Swappa). $50 seems super cheap but sweet!

This is the 64GB MicroSD Card people are saying works with our phone (I haven't tried it and our specs say the phone only works with up to 32GB)

Seidio Surface cases are my favorite. Many people like the Kickstand Case that was for sale at verizon. You can never go wrong with $0.10 TPU! And then there is the Sexy Incipio that attracts lint, but comes in a few colors too. And then for the super-protection you have The Seidio Active, Otterbox Defender, or THE MOST SUPER DUPER PROTECTO CASE EVER GUARANTEED NOT TO FIT IN YOU POCKET and its Step Brother.

Hope you find what you want! Let us know if we can help :D

Welcome over to the DInc2 forum! Hope you enjoy it here too!
The DInc4G will be around sooner or later. I'm stil thinking about buying it full retail (or used off CL/Swappa). We'll see. That speculation thread over there has gotten way too far off track  had to step away for a bit.

Thanks for the info! So, even though I bought an inc 2 from a private party and plan to activate it that will automatically renew my contract? I didn't think it worked like that! Please clarify when you can.

Wow, major thanks! You'v got me going to a good start. I was able to buys an Inc 2 with a 30 day warranty for $165 with the charger. A few small chips on the paint but I'll live.

I will definitely be looking at the cases and microsd!

You've been more than helpful. I truly appreciate it!

Buying a phone off craigslist shouldn't renew your contact. Only signing a new contract in a Verizon or authorized store, or online with Verizon or one of those retailers (wirefly, Amazon, etc).

I want to keep my unlimited data and that might only happen by purchasing my phones from now on from third party Sellers like on craigslist, or paying full retail from authorized Sellers. But not signing a new contract means not renewing it.
If you have questions about it, I encourage you to call Verizon and ask.
